Aerofix 3 is a high performance spray adhesive that has been developed for bonding light and medium weight materials, in particular fiber reinforcements like glass and carbon fiber.
- A repositionable, high strength adhesive spray compatible with gelcoat, barrier-coat, glass fiber matting and fiberglass laminates.
- Fully compatible with polyester and vinylester resins.
- Does not compromise the mechanical performance of laminates, even used in higher quantities than actually required.
- Does not compromise or inhibit the correct polymerization of resins.
- Does not weaken the degree of interlaminar adhesion between the different layers of a laminate.
- Contains a blue colorant which makes it possible to assess and regulate the quantity of Aerofix 3 applied, with the color disappearing during polymerization.
- Shake the aerosol well before use and ensure that the surfaces to be bonded are clean and dry
- Hold the aerosol vertically and spray an even layer of adhesive from a distance of 10 inches. It must not have the appearance of being wet. If this is the case, spray from a little further away
- To achieve optimum adhesion, spray the adhesive onto both surfaces to be joined and wait around one minute so that the solvent present in the adhesive may evaporate
- Finally, press the two surfaces firmly together to ensure good adhesion has taken place
- After each use, purge the aerosol by holding it upside down
If the product is stored in the dark in its original, perfectly sealed container at a maximum temperature of 68°F, it will remain stable for at least 12 months from the date of production. If stored outside these conditions, the shelf life cannot be guaranteed. Storage for longer periods, or in conditions other than those specified, can alter the characteristics of the product, in some cases making it unusable.
Aerofix 3 is supplied in a pressurized container. Protect from direct sunlight and do not expose to temperatures of more than 122°F.
