In-house composite tooling is our standard for most large scale parts. We machine high density foam plugs to then pull fiberglass or carbon fiber tools, depending on the application. These molds are built and backed by warranty to guarantee continued production for years to come. These tools can be made to a high tolerance spec of +/-0.015” or a low tolerance spec of +/-0.030”. Tools can also be built with high temp resin systems for curing pre-preg parts up to 450°F. Composite tooling costs $350-$500 per square foot.
